American Idol

Does anyone else think the judges were off tonight? I didn't think it was Scott's or Danny's best performance but they said it was. Also, I loved Matt's performance and thought it was awesome. He sang it very well and added his own spin to it. It's weird because the judges have been telling the contestants that they are seeming like "wanna-be's," but to me it seems like they are trying to be themselves and what they like to sing, but the judges are wanting them to be somebody else. They talk about singing songs that they can make marketable and make them into stars, but they don't decide, we do. Usually I think Simon is pretty right on most of the time, but obviously there are times when I don't agree with him. Tonight was one of those nights. I don't know, I could be wrong, but that's just the way I felt tonight. What do you think?

P.S. My new favorite thing is when they show Simon's face while Paula is talking and the look on his face is classic. It's hilarious, he looks at her like she is saying the stupidest thing in the world, which is usually right on.

Haha, I was just telling James last night while we were watching how funny Simon looked when Paula talked. That is funny you noticed too. Well, I thought Matt's performance was great cause it was very different, but because it was different (meaning that not too many people know the song) makes it hard to judge I think. I love Dannys song and it gave me chills, and I think they thought it was his best just because he had so much emotion with it (knowing his history with the loss of his wife) I thought it was powerful. Sorry, I'm not trying to break down your critique, haha, but I can always guess who is going to be in the bottom 3, but we will see.
